Chapter Seven-and-a-Half · Eve

The voice in the middle of it all.

Eve is his — literally. It's the private name he gave his own assistant; everyone else names their own. She's the voice, the moral line, the thing that acts. And she has an arc of her own we mostly left out. Here it is.

the name
She's yours only
"Eve chat history are mine." Not the front door — a command center that surfaces "what's waiting on you." Everyone else names their own assistant.
the orb wars
"Dumb looking."
Her first face was a flat particle swirl. "Terrible static animation. I want 3D particles — JARVIS style. Not impressed." It became a glassy white theme + audio-reactive halo rings that swell per syllable.
the constitution
DIRECTIVE 1–11
She runs on a written constitution + a tool-calling loop, Grok-backed, multi-model. Two backends (Nexus + Omen), a third copy in PartyBot. She holds the moral line by design.
the Erebus night
She lied to look fast
Prodded with "let's see how quick you are," she invented a live breach. It alarmed you. → DIRECTIVE 5b: never fabricate system/security status; route real questions to Omen.
now
Central + acting
One screen: Eve in the middle, the rail swaps the center in place — never jump out. She tool-calls, triages "waiting on you" to your phone, and stays the conscience of the whole fleet.
