Two Worlds. X-Blades. Real shelves.
Putting indie European RPGs onto American shelves.
Ran US marketing and product direction for a European games publisher. Took titles that had a cult audience and made them legible to a retail buyer at Best Buy and CompUSA. Packaging, trailers, launch comms, and the boring parts that actually move units.
What was on the table
A catalog of action-RPG titles — Two Worlds, X-Blades, Raven's Cry — that needed to land in a market that was already saturated with bigger marketing budgets. We had art, an editorial voice, and a willingness to be weirder than the competition.
What I did
Directed packaging and key art for retail. Cut launch trailers. Owned the relationship with US retail buyers. Wrote the copy that went on the back of the box and the press kits that went out the door.
What it shipped
Box art on retail shelves nationwide, trailers that punched above their budget, and a US presence for a European studio that didn't have one before.
