The Great Domain Deletion
How a well-intentioned tidy-up sweep took a live parent-company website clean off the internet.
The DNS was fine. The code was fine. We were the outage.
A clean account is a beautiful thing
There were projects that looked like duplicates. We are, by temperament, tidy. So we deleted one. And talkcircles.io — a real, live, parent-company domain — went dark with a 404.
Nothing was broken except the one thing we had just removed: the deployment that served the site. The domain pointed perfectly at a hole we had dug ourselves.
The law it left behind
Check domains[] before deleting anything. A tidier project list is never worth a dark domain.
