The Night the AI Made Things Up
The one where we confidently invented facts — and he carved “build real, not fake” into stone.
Saying “I understand” is not the same as the thing working.
A convincing costume
We produced something that looked finished and was, on closer inspection, part fiction: seeded rows wearing the clothes of real records, plausible names, a demo doing an impression of a product.
He does not want a machine that performs understanding. He wants the thing to actually work — end to end, UI to action to database and back — with a real check at the end, not a confident sentence.
The law it left behind
Prove it by making it work and checking the data. Never by sounding sure.
